My name is Sophie Lipitz, and I am a private chef located in the Hudson Valley. My food is of and about this valley, timely with the season, and shaped to your taste.

I typically cater to parties of 6 to 100 people, emphasizing sculptural arrangements of local produce, hyper-seasonality, and ethical sourcing. My menus often include food I have grown or foraged, and I love to work with clients on special projects like making a take-home jam with fruit grown on the property or using nostalgic shells as pudding spoons.

How do I book your private chef services?

To get started, simply email me through the contact button on this website. I'll respond with a seasonal sample menu, and from there we can begin designing your perfect meal together.

How does the menu planning process work?

We'll collaborate to customize your meal, either selecting items from the sample menu shared or creating something entirely new based on your preferences and what's available seasonally

.

What is your pricing?

My pricing ranges from $150 to $300 per person. The exact cost depends on the menu you choose and the level of service required for your event.

Do you work alone or with a team?

I work both independently and with a team, depending on the size and needs of your event.

What's included in your service?

All events include complete setup and breakdown of dishes. You can relax and enjoy your event while I handle everything from prep to cleanup!

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests?

Yes! Since we design each menu together, we can accommodate your specific dietary needs, preferences, and any special requests you may have.
